Privacy policy

We (“Humanstate”) operate several websites including ‘humanstate.com’, ‘givengain.com’, ‘givengain.ch’, ‘givengain.org’, and ‘g3s.ch’. It is our policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect while operating our websites. Please take a few minutes to avail yourself of the various aspects of the policy to put your mind at ease.

Website visitors

Like most website operators, we collect non-personally- identifying information of the sort that Web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site and the date and time of each visitor request. Our purpose with collecting this information is to better understand how our visitors use our websites. From time to time, we may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g. by publishing a report on trends in the usage of our website.

We also collect potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses. We do not use such information to identify visitors, however, and do not disclose such information, other than under the circumstances described below.

Gathering of personally-identifying information

Certain visitors to our websites choose to interact with us in ways that require us to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information that we gather depends on the nature of the interaction. For example, we ask visitors who sign up for our services to provide a username and e-mail address. Those who engage in transactions with us are asked to provide additional information, including, as necessary, the personal and financial information required to process those transactions. In each case, we collect such information only insofar as it is necessary or appropriate to fulfil the purpose of the visitor’s interaction with us. We do not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below. And visitors can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain website-related activities.

Aggregated statistics

We may collect statistics about the behaviour of visitors to our websites. For instance, we may monitor the most popular service accounts on our site to display publicly or provide to others. However, we do not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below.

Protection of certain personally-identifying information

We disclose personally-identifying information and potentially personally-identifying information only to those of our employees, contractors and affiliated organisations that (i) need to know that information in order to process it on our behalf or to provide services available at our websites, and (ii) that have agreed not to disclose it to others. Some of those employees, contractors and affiliated organisations may be located outside your home country; by using our websites, you consent to the transfer of such information to them. We will not rent or sell personally-identifying information and potentially personally-identifying information to anyone. Other than to our employees, contractors and affiliated organisations as described above, we disclose potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only when required to do so by law, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect our property or rights or those of third parties or the public at large. If you are a registered user of one of our websites and have supplied your e-mail address, we may occasionally send you an e-mail to tell you about new features, solicit your feedback or just keep you up to date with what’s going on with Humanstate and our services. We primarily use givengain.com and payprop.com to communicate this type of information, so we expect to keep this type of e-mail to a minimum. If you send us a request (for example via an e-mailed support request or a request via one of our feedback mechanisms), we reserve the right to publish it in order to help us clarify or respond to your request or to help us support other users. We take all measures reasonably necessary to protect against the unauthorised access, use, alteration or destruction of potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information.

Cookies

A cookie is a string of information that a website stores on a visitor’s computer, and that the visitor’s browser provides to the website each time the visitor returns. We use cookies to help us identify and track visitors, their usage of the our websites, and their website access preferences. Our visitors who do not wish to have cookies placed on their computers should set their browsers to refuse cookies before using our websites, with the caveat that certain features of our websites may not function properly.

Ads

Ads may be delivered on any of our websites by advertising partners, who may set cookies. These cookies allow the ad server to recognise your computer each time they send you an online advertisement, to compile information about you or others who use your computer. Among other things, this information allows ad networks to deliver targeted advertisements that they believe will be of most interest to you. The scope of this privacy policy does not cover the use of cookies by any advertisers.

Privacy policy changes

Although most changes are likely to be minor, we may change our privacy policy from time to time, in our sole discretion. We encourage visitors to frequently check this page for changes to our privacy policy. If you have a GivenGain or PayProp account, you can also check your account dashboard for alerts of any changes. Please note that your continued use of this site after any change in the privacy policy will constitute your acceptance of such change.
